Prof. Matthias Veit

Lied / Lied Interpretation

 

Matthias Veit studied piano with Gernot Kahl and voice with Susanne Korzuschek, Peter Elkus and Tom Krause. He also attended masterclasses with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Ralf Gothoni. He accompanies many of the world’s leading singers, including Franz Grundheber, Angela Denoke, Tom Kause, Hanna Schwarz and Andreas Schmidt, and he worked in international masterclasses and institutes with Elly Ameling, Helen Donath, Reri Grist, or Tom Krause and gave his first masterclass at the Savoinlinna Festival 1996. He has been official accompanist in international competitions, including the ARD Musikwettbewerb Munich. In 1998 / 99 he has been professor at the Hochschule für Musik Hamburg and since 1999 he has taught at several music academies in Germany as well as continuing to record for radio, television and disc.

 

Matthias Veit teaches at ICoM since 2015.
