Prof. Manfred Fock


Born 1943 in Kiel (Germany). Studied Piano with Robert Henry and Eliza Hansen at the Hamburg University of Music and with Nikita Magaloff at the Geneva Conservatory. Scholarship from the Foundation of the German People. Master Classes with Wilhelm Kempff in Positano and Sascha Gorodnitzki in Philadelphia (USA).

Prizewinner of international competitions at Vercelli, Terni, and Taormina in Italy. Concerts throughout Europe, Japan, China, and the USA. Radio and CD recordings. Performed complete Beethoven Sonata cycles in Kiel and Luebeck in 1975, 1977 and 1989. Instructor at Summer Academies of the Studienjahr für Japaner in 1995, 1997, and 2001 in Hamburg and at Master Classes in Japan in 1998 and China in 2002. Since 1980, Professor at the Luebeck University of Music. Students of Prof. Fock include prizewinners of national and international competitions. They are successful as teachers, pianists and pass countless entrance examinations at music universities throughout Germany.
