Asya Fateyeva

Classical Saxophone

 

Asya Fateyeva was born in 1990 on the Crimean Peninsula studied at the famous Gnessin Institut in Moscow with Margarita Shaposhnikova and at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln with Daniel Gauthier. She has won prizes from the Deutschen Musikwettbewerb in Bonn 2012, the international Adolphe-Sax-Wettbewerb 2014, received a scholarship from the Deutschen Stiftung Musikleben and was sponsored by the Berenberg Kulturpreis. She has performed with the Wiener Symphoniker, the Ukrainian Nationalphilharmonie, the symphony orchestra Giuseppe Verdi Milano and at music festivals in Colmar, Cologne, Moscow and St. Petersburg as an outstanding saxophonist.

 

Asya Fateyeva was named Nachwuchs des Jahres 2016 by ECHO Klassik for her first CD. She teaches at the Musikhochschulen in Hamburg and Lübeck and at ICoM since 2017.
